Job Objective

The Price Polling Analyst will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and reporting real-time market price data and intelligence from a network of Mandi contacts, spot market participants, rice millers, brokers, and traders across key commodity markets. Price Data Collection:

• Conduct daily price polling calls with market contacts (Mandis, spot markets, millers, and brokers, traders) to capture live price movements for grains and pulses.
• Track and record wholesale/retail/processing prices, arrivals, trade volumes, and quality differentials across markets.

Market Intelligence Gathering:

• Collect qualitative insights on market drivers such as demand-supply trends, crop arrivals, government policies, trade flows, and seasonal patterns.
• Identify early signals of market shifts (e.g., weather impact, procurement trends, and export/import demand).

Data Validation & Reporting:

• Cross-verify collected price data with multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Network Development:

Job Requirements: Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• Graduate in Agriculture, Economics, Commerce, Business, or related field.
• MBA/PG in Agri-Business or Commodity Markets (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in commodity price polling, market intelligence, Agri-commodity trading, or related fields.
• Fresher’s with strong communication skills and market awareness may also apply.
